Frederik is the solo developer behind Clockwise and founder of the-nerd.be, a Belgian software development studio specializing in educational technology.

The idea for Clockwise came from Frederik's own experience watching children struggle with analog clocks in an increasingly digital world. "I noticed that kids could easily read digital time but were completely lost when faced with analog clocks," Frederik explains. "Yet analog clocks are still everywhere - in schools, homes, and public spaces."

What started as a weekend project in 2019 has grown into a beloved app used by families across 40+ countries. Frederik's background in UX design and child psychology influenced Clockwise's intuitive interface and age-appropriate learning progression.

"My goal was simple: make learning analog time as natural and fun as playing a game. Every feature in Clockwise is designed to reduce frustration and celebrate small victories."
